MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA PUT ON THEIR HELMETS AND SUITED UP to take part in another speedy and blazing adventure at Enchanted Kingdom on Sunday, May 22, as they geared up with Hot Wheels for the exclusive media launch of the Hot Wheels Ultimate Grand Prix Experience! with a CEO Night and Appreciation Party at Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
      Formula, Rallye and Karting champions Popong Andolong and Edgen Dy-Liacco and 2010 Minirok Karting Champion and Cadet Karter of the Year Basti Escalante graced the karting event. This was later on fueled up as the champion racers stepped on the karts and do demonstration and exhibition!
      At least 55 media friends from the print, tv, radio and online media participated in the friendly Hot Wheels Ultimate Grand Prix Media Karting Experience but only the Top 7 with the fastest record time in one lap, made it to the final race. KZone Magazine, Business Mirror, NBN Channel 4, Laguna Cable Channel 6, Pilipino Times, Journal Group of Publications and the Manila Times, all got their own representatives to compete for the racing title!
      Many have tried but only few were able to climb up the Olympic ladder. Coming in third place is the very young yet feisty Ms. Lalaine Castro from NBN Channel 4, followed by Mr. David Manuel, a reporter from the Journal Group of Publications, and lastly, that one racer who emerged from all the rest, bagging the first place, came from the Business Mirror Group -- Health and Fitness magazine, Mr. Rodel Dizon.
      Ms. Nina Dandan, Hot Wheels' Head for Marketing and Promotions, awarded all the Top 7 winners of the Ultimate Grand Prix Experience Media Karting Race.
      Mr. Mario O. Mamon, president and CEO of Enchanted Kingdom and Ms. Myrna Yao, president and CEO of Richwell Trading Corporation, exclusive Philippine Distributor of Hot Wheels welcomed all the media participants to the Hot Wheels Ultimate Grand Prix Experience Promo media launch.

PhilAAPA HOSTS THE BIGGEST
TOUR OPERATORS ASSEMBLY

THE PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF AMUSEMENT PARKS AND ATTRACTIONS (PhilAAPA) staged the biggest gathering of educational tour operators in the country at the Makati Sports Club in May. Over 500 tour operators from all over the Philippines were in attendance to take part in this momentous event.
      Aimed to foster camaraderie and union among the major amusement and attractions industry players and the educational tour operators, the assembly addressed the PhilAAPA's objective of having all its members demonstrate EXCITE in all their activities and relations. EXCITE which stands for Empowerment, X-Factor uniqueness of the Philippines, Customer-focused, Innovation, Teamwork, and Entertainment.
      PhilAAPA and Enchanted Kingdom President Mario O. Mamon stated that "the response to our call for this "summit" was simply amazing! It gives us in the amusement and attractions industry an opportunity to introduce our association to a major component of our market, educational tours, and at the same time follow through with our objectives of uniting the industry and setting mutually beneficial standards and policies among all those concerned."
      PhilAAPA members which include Enchanted Kingdom, SM Family Entertainment Centers, Inc., PETCO / Boom na Boom, Star City, Zoomanity Group, Manila Ocean Park and Resorts World Manila, among others,participated as exhibitors and sponsors of the event.
      "We appreciate PhilAAPA's effort of bringing together all the tour operators as well as the big players in the amusement and attractions industry. It really gives a good chance for us to be more motivated to market the industry in our country," said Ms. Beth Balderas, from Hunnypot Educational Tours. "We also hope that for the next assembly, we can have more exhibitors and more talks about the significance of promoting the industry and what can we do more to help," she added.
      The PhilAAPA looks forward steadily to change the Philippine amusement and attractions industry landscape in order to provide the best experiences for Filipinos and foreign tourists alike.
