INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER SERVICES INC. (ICTSI), in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and Department of Education (DepEd) earnestly hand out the livelihood emblems in the launching of TLE Assistance Project in Tondo High School, Manila.
      This corporate citizenship project aims to provide students an adequate learning experience to enhance their skills for better business and employment opportunities. New pieces of equipment for clothing, electronics, automotive, and beauty care are given.
      Committed to poverty reduction, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) is the largest corporate-led social development foundation in the Philippines. It is the first of its kind in Asia leading the promotion and practice of corporate citizenship. PBSP has been influencing companies to integrate social responsibility into their core businesses, and advocating the application of business solutions to poverty.

      More than 240 large, medium-scale and small businesses comprise PBSP. The Foundation operates nationwide, with programs in Education, Health, Sustainable Livelihood and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, and the Environment implemented with partners and communities as empowered players in development.
      Since its founding in 1970, PBSP has benefited 6.5 million Filipinos and assisted over 6,400 social development projects through more than PHP5.2 billion in grants and development loans. "BUSINESS UNITED. LIVES UPLIFTED."

LOPA TO SHARE PBSP STRATEGY ON CSR

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) has transformed from being a business expense into an investment and significant force in uplifting the lives of less-fortunate Filipinos. To achieve maximum result through CSR, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) Executive Director Rafael Lopa will discuss how corporate citizenship can create a powerful impact in the upcoming LCF CSR Expo at SMX Convention Center on July 20 and 21.
      Lopa will be speaking during the session on "Sharpening CSR: Revisiting CSR Strategies for Long-Term Impact." The session aims to expand the understanding of businesses in terms of doing goodwill. Lopa will be sharing his CSR strategies which would engender a colossal effect to society and enhance the proficiency of companies.

      During the two-day expo, interested businesses can also visit PBSP's booth for free advice on how to integrate corporate citizenship into their core procedures.
      For 40 years, PBSP stands as one of the prime movers of social development in the Philippines. This non-profit organization is uniting businesses to practice community affairs by helping them create and sustain long-term CSR projects.
      Moreover, the foundation provides companies with tools and tactics to appropriately respond to the evolving needs of the community. Its key areas are focused on livelihood and enterprise development, health, education, and environment.
